Little Tibet Trek
11 day trip / 5 days Himalayas trekking
The spiritual heart of the Himalayas ..
This eleven day challenge includes five days of trekking through some of India’s most beautiful regions. The adventure begins in New Delhi and Pathankot where the white peaks of the Himalayas remind us of the Tibetan refugee population that overwhelm the streets with their smiling faces, prayer flags, and shrines.
We begin our trek in Dharamsala, climbing to the village of Batuni and the picturesque Snake God Temple before making our way through the forest and terrace fields to our camp. Throughout the trek we are blessed with magnificent views as meadows, bamboo forests, and streams surround us. Local villagers welcome us with hot sweet Chai tea as we reach the ridge of the mountain at the height of 3500m. Our journey concludes with a celebratory meal and a day of exploring the Tibetan Bazaar and monastery in New Delhi.

How hard is the challenge
This is a moderately challenging trek. You will trek for 8 hours per day on average, covering up to 15km with some steep climbs and descents. While this trek does not go to extreme altitude, you will spend some days over 3000m, so be prepared to feel some minor effects as a result of this. You will be supported by our Leader & Medic, with an excellent team of local crew assisting throughout.
