Marie Curie trek The Himalayas..
A group of 30 strong-minded trekkers took on The Everest Base Camp trek this November, with all 30 of them successfully reaching Base Camp together, and of them, 17 took on the summit Kala Patthar the following morning, which resulted with all 14 watching the sun-rise over the peaks of Everest and her neighbours.
The group trekked with a shared goal, shared love, memories, and support for a charity close to their hearts, and raised over £70,000 together for Marie Curie (still rising) which means that families facing illness in the UK will receive 3,330 hours of care at home at the end of life.
"It is certainly a challenge, but a thoroughly rewarding experience" one of the trekkers shared. Some of the team are already looking on to their next challenges - with some having reached their peak and taking on some more gentle treks, and others looking to Mera Peak for their next adventure...
